Minor in Marketing
A minor in marketing from University of Houston-Clear Lake's College of Business will
enhance your understanding of the professional environment relating to careers in
advertising, event management, marketing management and research, sales, trade show
management, public relations, social media, and digital marketing.
The program was designed to provide the consumer-oriented way of thinking and an overview
of marketing activities to promote long-term success. Activities include conducting
marketing research to identify target-marketing segments, the development and pricing
of products or services, and communicating about product or service offerings through
advertising, sales promotions, and public relations.

With internship and co-op programs available, you will have many excellent opportunities
to create connections with Houston organizations and get real-world experience before
you graduate. In addition, you can join the UHCL student chapter of the American Marketing
