Prairies, Birds, & Pollinators Workshop: Feb. 25, 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Join EIH and partners for a a day-long workshop and learn how to create better habitat for birds, butterflies, and monarchs. Limited seating; pre-registration required.

New Horizons and Innovations in STEM: March 4, 8 am-4 pm
Steve Wolf, founder of Science in the Movies, will be the keynote speaker at the first Greater Houston Area STEM Conference "New Horizons and Innovations in STEM."

Habitat Work Day: Tuesdays, 9-11 am
Volunteer in EIH's demonstration school habitat, and earn service hours. Individuals and groups welcome!

Lentic Ecology Field Technician/Intern (Temporary)
We are recruiting one position to assist with field sampling for the National Lakes Assessment (NLA) from May 16 to September 29, 2017. All work will be based out of Houston, but extensive travel is required. This is a temporary/seasonal internship opportunity. Open until filled.

Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators
The PIAEE recognizes outstanding kindergarten through grade 12 teachers who employ innovative approaches to environmental education and use the environment as a context for learning for their students. Up to two teachers from each of EPA's 10 regions, from different states, will be selected to receive this award.  Applications due March 1, 2017.
