Transfer Student Scholarship

Automatic Transfer Scholarship

One simple step with great rewards

No scholarship application needed! We use your application for admissions.

Only new first-time, degree seeking undergraduate students

  • Must be a new degree seeking undergraduate transferring from a college or university
  • Transfer 30 or more credits to UHCL (effective Fall 2015)
  • Must have a transfer GPA of 2.75 or above

Award amount is $750 per semester. If renewal criteria is met, the award can be renewed for 3 additional long semesters (fall/spring). No awards are given for summer terms.

ATS scholarships will be credited to UHCL student accounts seven (7) days prior to the first class day of the fall and/or spring semester. ATS recipients enrolled for less than nine (9) credit hours on the 12th class day may have their scholarship reversed, and subsequently the credit will become a debit.

Renewal Information on ATS

Renewal Eligibility for the Second Year

Scholarships will be automatically renewed for the second year to students who:

  • Received the scholarship in their first year
  • Maintained consecutive enrollment in the first two long semesters at UHCL
  • Earned a minimum of 18 semester hours of academic credit at UHCL before the start of the 3rd long semester.
  • Maintained a cumulative UHCL GPA no lower 2.75.
  • Enrolled in nine (9) or more hours at UHCL in the third consecutive long semester
