Services

General Medical 

Students with routine medical problems may be evaluated and treated on a walk-in basis. An appointment is necessary for students requiring physician services. 

Gynecology 

The Women's Health Clinc offers complete gynecological services to students including pap test, breast exam, contraception and hormone therapy. Consultations and tests for various forms of vaginitis, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy are available. 

Laboratory 

Specimens for laboratory tests, ordered either by Health Center physicians or a personal physician, can be drawn by Health Center staff and sent to a contracted medical lab for testing at reduced fees. 

Pharmacy 

The Health Center pharmacy supplies medications to students at reduced costs. Medications stocked are those most commonly prescribed by the Health center physicians, including birth control and antibiotics. Over-the-counter medications and a variety of health products are also available. 

Injections 

Allergy antigen and contraception injections as well as immunizations and TB tests are administered by Health Center nurses. Allergy and contraception injections require documentation signed by the prescribing physician. 

Preventive Medical 

All students are encouraged to seek information regarding health and well-being in the areas of preventive medical care. Laboratory test specials and screenings are held periodically. Free health literature is available in the Health Center. 

Alternative Medicine 

Accupuncture sessions are sponsored by the Health Center and are available to all students, faculty, and staff.  The accupuncturist, Leslie Graham, is available for appointments every other Wednesday during Fall and Spring semesters, from 1-4:30. Please call the Health Center in advance in order to schedule your appointment.
