M.S. in Educational Management with Principal Certification and PDAS Certification
39 Hour Program


In order to fulfill principal certification requirements, students must successfully complete the 39 semester credit hours of master of science degree coursework in educational management, have a valid Texas Teaching Certificate, two years of successful full-time classroom teaching in an approved accredited school, and must pass the appropriate ExCET.


Required Course Work for the Master's Degree with Principal Certification and PDAS Certification:

Professional Education Core (12 hours):
SILC 6030 - Foundations of Multicultural Communication
INST 6031- Applications of Technology
EDUC 6032 - Statistics and Measurement
EDUC 6033 - Research Design and Analysis

Administration Core (27 hours):

ADSU 6030 Introduction to Educational Leadership
ADSU 6132 Curriculum
ADSU 6233 Principalship
ADSU 6235 Administration of Special Programs
ADSU 6436 School Business Management
ADSU 6437 School Law
ADSU 6533 Appraisal of Teaching
ADSU 6538 Program, Policy & Politics

Capstone Experience:

ADSU 6739 Graduate Internship

A one-hour course, ADSU 5010 Professional Examination Preparation, may be required to prepare for the state assessment examination.
