So you've registered for an online class! GREAT! But now you need to know what to do next, right?
Here are the steps to follow to get started:
1. What Learning Platform am I using (WebCT or PCT)? Click on the Look Up Tool link below:

2. Find your USER ID and PASSWORD so you can log in:

OK! You know which platform you're using and you have your User ID and Password.
3. What is the URL for my Learning Platform? (Or where do I go on the web to access my class?) Click on the correct Learning Platform link below; you will be taken to the log in page for your Learning Platform. BOOKMARK this page for your future reference!

4. How do I log in? Type your User ID and Password into the correct fields and click the Login Button (Enter). For step-by-step pictorial instructions, click on the correct Learning Platform link below:

5. When can I access my online class?
In general, you will not have access to your online class until the Saturday immediately prior to the start of the semester.
If you registered late, it may take up to 48 hours for you to be added to your class. For confirmation, call Student Support at 281-283-2982 during normal business hours or email Student Support.

You're ready for Class Orientations! Some instructors hold face-to-face orientations but most orientations are conducted online.
6. Is my class orientation online or face-to-face? It's easy to find out! Go to the Distance Education web site and click on the link Orientation Info. REMEMBER, you can access the Orientation anytime prior to the start of the semester. Do it NOW so you're ready for class!
If you've never taken an online class before, you may want to work through your Learning Platform's tutorial; you can access these, just like the Orientation, anytime prior to the start of the semester:

7. How do I get help? The Online Course Support Web Site has contact information for the UCT Support Center (phone, email and chat!), service hours, tutorials, "How-To's, Troubleshooting Tips, etc. Contact our friendly staff with your support needs!
