Presentation at Texas A&M 7th Annual Assessment Conferencce
Drs. Sharon Hall, Bryan Morgan, Simone Tiu, and Kwok-Bun Yue presented at the Texas A&M 7th Annual Assessment Conference on February 22, 2007. The presentation includes a discussion of UHCL university-wide assessment effort, School of Education assessment processes employed to meet NCATE requirements, and Computer Information System program assessment processes employed to meet ABET expectations.

Effective Course-Based Learning Outcome Assessment for ABET Accreditation of Computing Programs
Dr. Kwok-Bun Yue describes in this paper a course-based approach that correlates learning outcome objectives to accreditation standards and courses, specific assessment tools, and a strong course committee structure approach. The assessment approach can be easily adapted to other computer science and information system programs. The paper is to be published in the Journal of Computer Science in Colleges.
