Undergraduate Advising The undergraduate programs in the Behavioral Sciences allow students to combine courses in anthropology, psychology, and sociology according to their interests and goals. The philosophy behind this interdisciplinary approach is the recognition that human behavior is too complex to be fully covered by one academic discipline. Student Preparation: Although no specific courses are required for admission to the program, introductory courses in psychology, sociology, and anthropology are strongly recommended. The best preparation for study in Behavioral Sciences at the University of Houston-Clear Lake is a broad exposure to the sciences and liberal arts. At a minimum this should include courses in the humanities, mathematics, physical sciences (especially biology), and the fine arts.
