Hometown: Trinidad and Tobago Major: Master’s in Management Information Systems
While attending University of Houston-Clear Lake, I have been exposed to a diverse student body that has allowed me to learn from my peers. Another source of growth has been cultivated through the group projects I’ve completed in class. This has not only taught me how to work in a group environment, it has also reinforced my perspective on the value of teamwork. In working with a team, I have been able to see the work lead to better results, than if I had tackled the project on my own.
After I complete my master’s degree, I plan to return to Trinidad and Tobago to work in the government ministry. Hopefully through my position, I will be able to gain government funding to develop programs that will help women in my community. I also want to teach free computer literacy courses. My education and life experiences at UHCL will allow me to achieve those goals.
