How soon can I start the application process?

The online application through ApplyTexas.org will be available on August 1, 2013.

Is it okay to submit an application if I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet?

Yes, you can submit an application before taking the SAT or ACT. However, keep in mind a decision will not be made until all required items are submitted. Plus, you don’t want to wait until the last minute to take the SAT or ACT.

What are the application deadlines for admissions?

The priority deadline for fall admission is February 1st.

The final deadline for fall admissions is June 1st.

The priority deadline for spring admissions is August 15th.

The final deadline for spring admissions is October 15th.

How can I check the status of my application?

You can check the status of your application by logging into E-Services using your UHCL ID number.

How is dual credit and AP credit evaluated?

Dual credit will be evaluated once the official transcript from a community college or university is received. AP and CLEP credit are recognized by UHCL. A minimum score of 3 or higher is required on AP exams for college credit. Some courses do require a higher score. What housing options are available to first-time freshman?

On-campus housing is available for students at UHCL. Apartment style housing is available at University Forest Apartments.
