UHCL Budget Discussions & ResponsesDuring the 2010-2011 school year President William A. Staples asked the UHCL Planning and Budgeting Committee (PBC) to take a lead role in gathering ideas for addressing the impact of expected state budget reductions on UHCL. An email address was created to accept anonymous suggestions and ideas: suggestionbox@uhcl.edu. Members of the university community were asked to send suggestions to the box or submit them through their shared governance organization leadership and to also cultivate and discuss ideas at the organization level. The Suggestion Box remains open, for the time being, and you are welcome to submit ideas to suggestionbox@uhcl.edu or through your shared governance representatives:
PBC has received suggestions on the following categories
During the 2011-2012 school year PBC has sponsored presentations from several university leaders regarding items from the Suggestion Box that may have applied to their units. The original list of suggestions and ideas (through October 2011) is linked here along with the responses that the committee has received from senior leadership regarding the suggestion items.
