Alumni Honors and Awards
University of Houston-Clear Lake alumni continue to play an important role in the community and each year the university strives to recognize those alumni by presenting the UH-Clear Lake Alumni Association awards.
First presented in 1984, the Distinguished Alumni Award honors UHCL alumni who have either earned a degree or completed a certificate program whose exceptional contributions in both the workplace and community serve as a model for future graduates and reflect positively on the university.
UHCL alumni 45 years of age or younger with notable accomplishments in her/his business, community service, university commitment or involvement in the Alumni Association may be nominated for the Early Achievement Award. The Leadership Service Award honors alumni who have contributed to the university community through his/her leadership and service.
The Outstanding Professor Award is presented to a professor (current at the time of the nomination) who has made a difference to students both inside and outside of the classroom.
he 2009 award recipients will be recognized at the annual alumni celebration on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center, 2500 South Shore Blvd., League City.
