February 2012: Award Nominations
 "I am a UHCL alumnus." "I am a donor to UHCL." "I am a UHCL student." "….employee." These simple statements are sources of pride for those who declare them, and we are happy to hear how many people say those things with joy and enthusiasm. They like declaring UHCL as theirs in some way, shape or form. A very special few can say "I am a UHCL Alumni Association award winner." Those folks tend to say that with pride, and with humility for the recognition that has been bestowed to them by their alma mater's alumni association.
The time has come to nominate those who deserve to be officially recognized as a recipient of one of these awards: Distinguished Alumni, Early Achievement, Leadership Service or Outstanding Professor. While those chosen are the few among many, they also indicate the greatness of our alumni and faculty. I bet you know someone who deserves this recognition.
Deadline is looming! April will come sooner than you think. Please review the procedure to nominate and help a special alumnus or professor get the recognition they deserve.
