Using UHCL Public Web Site 

  Search for a class within the University of Houston Clear Lake public web site.   

  1. Select a Term (semester) – Required
  2. Select a School – Required
    Then select at least one other search filter from this list: Delivery Mode, Location, Academic Career, Subject, Catalog Number, Search by Instructor’s Last Name, Search by Course Title Keyword, by Time, or by Day.

    Delivery Mode:
         •      All – include all Delivery Modes
         •  Face to Face – search for classes held in a classroom
         •  Web Enhanced – delivered in a classroom but may have syllabus, review notes, and other materials on the web
         •  Internet – delivered exclusively over the web but may have an ocassional face-to-face meeting. Visit Distance Education web site for further information.

    To view all face to face classes for spring 2005 given by     School of Education, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Education for School, and Face to Face for Delivery Mode.  Must choose Term and School before choosing Delivery Mode

         •  Pasadena – search for classes held at Pasadena facility
         •  All Other Choices – choose appropriate location

    To view all face to face classes for spring 2005 given by School of Education at UHCL facility for graduate students in instructional technology, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Education for School, Face to Face for Deliver Mode, UHCL – Clear Lake for Location, Graduate for Academic Career, and INST for Subject.  Must choose Term and School before choosing Delivery Mode,  Location, Academic Career, or Subject.

    Catalog Number: A Subject must be provided when searching by Catalog Number (i.e. cannot just enter Term, School, and Catalog Number.  Must enter Term, School, Subject, and Catalog Number).

    To view catalog number 5335 in accounting for Spring 2005 given by School of Business and Public Administration, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Business and Public Administration for School, ACCT for Subject, and 5335 for Catalog number.  Must choose Term and School before choosing Subject and Catalog Number.

    Search by Instructor’s Last Name    : Enter Last Name of Instructor

    To view classes taught by Paul Bruder for Spring 2005, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Business and Public Administration for School, and enter Bruder (case insensitive) for Instructor’s Last Name.  Must choose Term and School before entering Instructor’s Last Name.

    Search by Course Title Keyword: Enter a course keyword (e.g. accounting or finance)

    To view accounting classes for Spring 2005, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Business and Public Administration for School, and enter accounting (case insensitive) in Course Title Keyword.  Must choose Term and School before entering Course Title Keyword.

    Time: (radio buttons)
         •  All – include all Times (classes with To Be Assigned times appear in each selection)
         •  Before Noon – search for class with start time  12 p.m. or earlier (inclusive)
         •  After 4 p.m. – search for class with start time 4 p.m. or later (inclusive)

    To view classes for Spring 2005 given by School of Education that starts 4 p.m. or later, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Education for School, and click After 4 p.m. radio button.  Must choose Term and School before clicking the After 4 p.m. radio button.

    Day: (check boxes)
         •  All unchecked – include all Days
         •  M checked – search for classes taught on Monday
         •  T checked – search for classes taught on Tuesday
         •  W checked – search for classes taught on Wednesday
         •  Th checked – search for classes taught on Thursday
         •  F checked – search for classes taught on Friday
         •  S checked – search for classes taught on Saturday
         •  Su checked – search for classes taught on Sunday
         •  Include TBA – search for classes “To Be Assigned” a day of week
         •  M and T checked – search for classes taught on Monday or Tuesday
         •  M, T, and W checked – search for classes taught on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday

    To view all classes for Spring 2005 given by School of Education and taught on Thursday or Friday, choose Spring 2005 for Term, School of Education for School, then check Th and F check boxes.  Must choose Term and School before clicking Th or F check boxes.
