Admissions Requirements
Distance and Off-Campus students’ admissions requirements are identical to those for students participating in on-campus degree programs.
1. Complete the application process online.
2. Register for class online or by phone.
3. Pay tuition and fees by credit card or installments.

Classes
Classes are offered at a variety of times: weekdays and evenings. Courses are offered in a traditional semester format for the fall and spring terms. Summer semester offers even greater flexibility with terms ranging in length from three to nine weeks. For the list of Distance Ed courses, go to http://prtl.uhcl.edu/disted and click on “Course List.” When using the searchable class schedule, choose “Internet” for Delivery Mode. Off-Campus courses are listed by location; choose your preferred center in “Location.”
Online Courses
UHCL offers degree programs, courses and certificates that can be completed entirely online. To participate in online courses, students will need access to a computer and the Internet. Students are free to do class work online at any time, but assignments are due as specified in the class syllabus. Classes are NOT open entrance/open exit. Classes are NOT traditional correspondence courses.
