Budget Development Module (BDM)

BDM is a module within PeopleSoft Finance that was written using PeopleTools.  BDM stands for Budget Development Module and is used to develop the Annual Base Budget.  Data is loaded into BDM from two sources:  General Ledger and HRMS.  Original Budget Journals by cost center are loaded from the General Ledger into both the Base and Proposed fields in BDM.  Jobs from HRMS are loaded for all base funded employees.  Position data held in HRMS is "messaged" to BDM.  At the end of budget development, Original budget journals are created with a "BDX" prefix and loaded to the General Ledger.  Jobs for the new year are loaded back to HRMS via Staging tables.
