What this degree will do for you…
Our
Master of Science in Accounting program emphasizes the technical
knowledge and the necessary skills and abilities to succeed
in an accounting career, and is one of only 168 programs in
the world with separate accounting accreditation from AASB
International. The MS Accounting graduate meets the requirements
necessary to sit for the Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
exam. This degree prepares graduates for multiple career opportunities
in accounting such as: auditing, forensic accounting, information
technology services, financial accounting, financial analysis,
internal auditing, managerial accounting and tax planning.
An information systems track is available within this program.
A student who has no prior academic work in business would
most likely have to take each of the courses listed below.
Students however may have prior academic work which will allow
them to waive some of these courses. Each students degree
plan is prepared taking into consideration the students
prior academic work. The student must complete at a minimum
36 semester hours. Please contact an academic advisor for
more information about preparation of a degree plan.
