Our students...

Our students are a diverse group of scholars, each one having a unique vision for his or her future, each with different personal needs and objectives. But they all have something in common. They seek professional and personal growth through education, and they enjoy being part of a small community of students.

Because we are not a large university, we can focus on our students as individuals. They have ready access to advisors, faculty members and others who serve as resources for information regarding scholarships, financial aid, professional connections, and more. We have more than 20 student organizations and several honor societies related to academic disciplines. These provide our students with resources for information and networking opportunities.

Many of our students come from the neighboring Gulf Coast area, but we have students from all over the world. Our curriculum provides them with the opportunity to work as team members on group projects, going through the process of “Learning By Doing.” And in doing so, within a small student community, they develop interpersonal and leadership skills that last far beyond graduation.

Our students speak highly of our faculty, our programs, our learning environment, and the amenities offered by the university. And we speak highly of our students. They are motivated and dedicated to their goals. Through their efforts and accomplishments they enrich themselves, their peers, and the university community as a whole.
