Recognizing the growing need for qualified healthcare administrators, our programs offer both graduate and undergraduate curricula through classes offered online or at the Texas Medical Center – the largest center of health care delivery and research in the world.
Most of our graduate students participate in residencies at nationally recognized medical institutions. In addition to internships and co-ops, you can pursue membership and leadership opportunities through the Medical Group Management Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Upsilon Phi Delta and our Healthcare Student Association, a student-run faculty-advised organization here to help you increase your professional, technical and social skills.
Application Procedure for MHA program:
All students must submit a GPA transcript, a GMAT report, a resume, three letters of recommendation, and a statement of career goals by the published application deadline. Only completed applications can be considered.

MHA/MBA Dual Degree
Challenges in today’s health care sector have created a rising demand for leaders who not only have sound business skills, but are prepared to manage limited resources in a rapidly changing health care environment. UHCL’s dual-degree MHA/MBA program is designed for health care managers and clinicians who require enhanced business competencies in order to achieve their career goals.
Our curriculum provides students with the tools to function in a health care system increasingly driven by business principles. Our graduates will have the knowledge and skills for significant professional advancement in a wide range of health-related settings. Our program maintains high academic quality, while providing flexible and convenient options both in the classroom and online.
Through this dual-degree program, students can obtain both degrees in as few as 57 credit hours, rather than the 78 credit hours required for both degrees individually.
