Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen?
Creating an Effective Eating Disorder Interdisciplinary Team

The standard of care for the treatment of eating disorders involves an interdisciplinary approach.  This workshop will discuss how to overcome the challenges college counseling center professionals frequently face in implementing comprehensive care involving multiple clinicians from different agencies.  Detailed sample procedures and forms will be provided to workshop participants.  Time will be provided at the end of the presentation for interaction and questions.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Develop a common treatment philosophy
  • Implement guidelines and procedures that promote quality care and good communication amongst treating clinicians
  • Address confidentiality and legal issues with high risk clients
  • Develop a successful group treatment program for eating disorders
