CareerLink is a subscription-based, online tool that you, as a student or alum of UHCL, can use during your job search. Signing up for CareerLink enhances your opportunities to seek employment and connects you with potential employers.

What can I do in CareerLink?
- Search through current job listings, including full-time, part-time, internships and co-ops.
- Apply to jobs you are interested in directly in the database.
- Manage your job search through job agents and other resources.
- Research companies.
- Upload current resume for Career Services staff to send directly to employers.
- Register for On-Campus Interviews.
- View the Resource Library with interviewing advice, resume and cover letter samples.
How do I get started in CareerLink?
If you are creating a CareerLink account for the first time, follow the instructions below:
- Register for a new account
Click New Users: Register in the Login section below and fill out all required fields. - Submit Registration and Renewal Form and subscription fee in-person at the Career Services Office or by mail
- Registration and Renewal Form - Print, sign and submit with payment.
- Subscription fee
- The fee charged covers the licensing cost to use the software.
- Registration fee: New users who sign-up January 1, 2013 – May 31, 2013, pay $15.00.
- Career Services ONLY accepts cash, checks or money orders made payable to: University of Houston-Clear Lake.
- New accounts activated during this time expire May 31, 2013
- Complete your CareerLink profile after Career Services notifies you via email that your account has been activated.
What if I already have a CareerLink account?
If you have a current subscription, click Registered Users: Login in the Login section below. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, please contact Career Services.
If you have NOT registered with CareerLink in the past academic year, your account has been expired and needs to be reactivated. Follow the instructions below:
- Submit Registration and Renewal Form and subscription fee in-person at the Career Services Office or by mail.
- Registration and Renewal Form - Print, sign and submit with payment.
- Subscription fee
- The fee charged covers the licensing cost to use the software.
- Renewal fee: $10.00.
- Career Services ONLY accepts cash, checks or money orders made payable to: University of Houston-Clear Lake.
- All renewals expire May 31, 2013.
- Retrieve your CareerLink username and password by contacting Career Services.
- Update your CareerLink profile with your most current information and resume after Career Services notifies you via email that your account has been reactivated.
CareerLink for Co-op Students
Students using the system exclusively for Co-op jobs are eligible for free entry to CareerLink. These students are limited to viewing only co-op related jobs. Please contact the Career Services Office regarding these options.
CareerLink Policies
You must be a current UHCL student or UHCL alum to use CareerLink. The Career Services Office cannot guarantee you will be selected for an interview or offered a position with an employer.
Your CareerLink account can be deleted for Failure to:
- Pay subscription fee.
- Renew your account once your CareerLink subscription has expired.
- Provide accurate information about yourself in your profile and resume.
- Respond to an employer you have contacted.
- Show-up for a scheduled on-campus interview.
