Position: Customer Care Engineer

• Investigate the technical issues of PAS products encountered by customers and communicate with the customer to resolve the issues.
• Log all the communications, phone calls, internal tests and activities in the CRM system
• Assist the software product testing before the release and enter the defects in defect tracking system
• Maintain the case resolution statistics and other metrics maintained by Customer Care
• Write Knowledge Base articles
• Work with Sales, Product Management and development team members to seek their inputs in resolving the customer cases
• Visit the customer sites occasionally

Job Requirements

• Education in Computer Science /IT / Systems Engineering with minimum 2 years experience in IT/ software installation/ customer support
• Should be MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), preferably on MCSE track.
• Thorough understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, complex network architectures, DMZ setup
• Prior experience in setting up, deploying and configuring web applications
• Experience in installation of SQL Server and Internet Information Server (IIS) is must
• Should be able to write and execute simple T-SQL queries
• Good written and email communication skills
• Excellent phone communication skills
  
  
• MCSE certification will be preferred
• Degree in engineering preferred (Computer Science, Chemical, Electrical , Instrumentation, Information Systems)
• Knowledge or experience in working process plants (Chemical, refineries) preferred

Control System Application Development at DOW Freeport, TX. The requirements of this position are that you must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) and you must be a Chemical Engineer. You will get lots of good training from Dow so if you don’t have lots of experience in process control that is not an issue.
