Admission to Distance Education Programs
Admission to an online or distance education program is identical to admission to a traditional classroom program. You can apply online or submit an admission application to the university by mail. Some majors require a dual application process. We have many online services:
- Open Houses for online programs.
- Online Instant Messaging - When you message a UHCL IM account, you will be connected to one of our Admissions representatives. Our representative will then communicate with you one-on-one. Instant Messaging is intended to provide quick and simple answers about the admissions process.
- Request information online.
Dual Application
Some programs require two applications
Certain programs require dual admission. You must apply for admission to the university, which can be done online, and you must also apply for admission to the program, which must be done through the school. Make sure you are approved for both the university and the school before scheduling classes and paying fees.
