San Jacinto Marsh Restoration Project The San Jacinto Battleground State Historical Park preserve is the oldest and most visited state park in Texas and the site of the Marsh Restoration Project. The Institute uses this location as a centerpiece of their natural history training for teachers of K - 6 children. | School Habitats Many schools in the Houston area are creating school habitats so that their students can have outdoor learning experiences.
