M.S. Graduate Research Assistantship

Excellent opportunity for new Graduate Student who will be responsible for conducting a terrapin research project under direction of a graduate advisor.  Study will include various components including evaluating population dynamics of diamondback terrapin in coastal wildlife refuges along the Texas Coast.  Additional potential projects include stable isotope/food habit studies, contaminant and genetic studies. Will utilize radio and acoustic telemetry, pit tags and boats including airboats).  Student may need to partially live onsite at the Wildlife Refuge during portions of the study.  This is a 2.5 year study with likely extension for an additional year.

Qualifications:

Salary/Stipend:

$1890 to $2500 per month (full-time) – normally 50% during full-semesters, 100% in summer
