Consolidation Loans

A borrower may consolidate different types of federal student loans in order to simplify repayment through the Federal Consolidation Loan Program.

Students become eligible to consolidate loans when they enter the six-month, post-school grace period. Loans may also be consolidated at any time during the repayment period, or during periods of deferment and forbearance.
