Chevron Environmental Sciences Scholarship

Chevron Environmental Sciences Scholarship is open for applications

Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline to apply Friday, October 18, 2013

Scholarship Criteria

  • Must be a current UHCL student majoring in Environmental Science with a sub-plan of Safety or Industrial Hygiene
  • Must be a full time UHCL student – undergraduate enrolled in 12 hours / graduate enrolled in 9 hours
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Must have a minimum of 1 leadership role in a technical society or co-curricular activity (ex., Society of Women Engineers, Fraternity/Sorority)
  • Must have had a minimum of 1 technical internship related to your field of study
  • Graduating seniors should have intensions to seek a graduate degree immediately following graduation
  • Master Degree level students must be writing their thesis/dissertation on a topic that is related to the energy industry

Required Documentation

  1. One page essay (12 pt. font, double spaced) that illustrates knowledge and interest in Chevron and the energy industry
  2. Submit a list that includes organization memberships (i.e. technical society), achievements (i.e. Dean's list), internships and co-curricular activities within the past 3 years.
