Position: Teacher
Description of Job

Supervise, teach, tutor and guide children in grades K-5. Job Duties include (but are not limited to) the following::

  • Care for children in grades K-5
  • Supervise children at all times
  • Plan daily activities for children
  • Implement curriculum
  • Create and maintain an orderly environment
  • Follow center policies
  • Beware of student individual needs
  • Maintain a list of names of the children under teacher care
  • Enforce the VISIONS discipline policy consistently and fairly
  • Assist in the program as needed
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning up classroom activities
  • Cooperate and help fellow Teachers
  • Receive a minimum of 15 clock hours of training per year
  • Know /learn Minimum Standards for childcare facilities— adhere to them
  • Abide by and ensure that procedures in minimum standards are followed in the classroom

* Job duties may and should be expected to change.  Teachers must be flexible and wiling to comply with new job duties assigned.*

Job Requirements
  • 18 of years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • CPR & First Aid Certified (will certify)
  • Receive 8 hours of Pre-service training if applicant has no previous experience as a caregiver in a childcare facility.
  • Must have completed at least 1 Child Development Class (or currently taking one).

Rate of Pay: $8.36 per hour
Number of Hours per Week: 20
Preferred Work Hours: 4 hours/day;  M-F 3:00 - 6:30 pm
