Introduction to Department

The Facilities Management and Construction Custodial Department strives to provide a clean and safe environment for all campus users. Our custodial services is a two shift operation that covers over 800,000 gross square feet of space.  Our services are available from 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 am Monday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays.  Our services consist of cleaning all offices, labs, classrooms, restroom, hallways and all common areas. Under the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA) there are five levels of Cleaning.  Please reference the APPA Industry Standards tab on the right for the cleaning standards of each level. Our custodial department is confident that we are providing you with a level 2 standard.  For questions relating to custodial services please call 281-283-2250.

The northern part of Bayou Building is undergoing roof replacement and it's being done in sections. There will be noises but it shouldn't interfere with work. The work is being done at the moment to not interfere with students on campus.
