• Travel south on Highway 146 to Fairmont Parkway.
• Right on Fairmont Parkway to Bay Area Blvd.
• Left on Bay Area Blvd. to UHCL.
• Left at Brook Forest at Entrance 2.
• Follow the signs to Visitor Parking behind the Bayou Building.

Highway 225:

• Travel to I-45.
• Travel south on I-45 to the Bay Area Blvd. exit.
• Continue east on Bay Area Blvd.
• Follow the signs 4 miles to UHCL.
• Enter Entrance 1.
• Follow the signs to the Bayou Building.
• Park in Visitor Parking behind the Bayou Building.

Highway 6:

• Turn north on FM 528.
• Travel to Bay Area Blvd.
• Turn left.
• Continue east on Bay Area Blvd. past Baybrook Mall.
• Follow the signs 4 miles to UHCL.
• Enter Entrance 1 and follow the signs to the Bayou Building.
• Park in Visitor Parking behind the Bayou Building.

North (downtown Houston) on I-45:

• Travel south on I-45 to the Bay Area Blvd. exit.
• Continue east on Bay Area Blvd.
• Follow the signs 4 miles to UHCL.
• Enter Entrance 1.
• Follow the signs to the Bayou Building.
• Park in Visitor Parking behind the Bayou Building.

South (Galveston) on I-45:

• Travel north on I-45.
• Exit at Bay Area Blvd.
• Right on Bay Area Blvd.
• Follow the signs 4 miles to UHCL.
• Enter Entrance 1 and follow the signs to the Bayou Building.
• Park in Visitor Parking behind the Bayou Building.

The IISS Office understands how difficult it can be to know your way when you first arrive in a new country. Because of this, we offer a one-time, courtesy service to first-time international students. We arrange for a university vehicle pick-up for new international students when they land in Houston. Please read the following guidelines for more information:
Only first-time, new international students can request a van pick-up from the airport when they initially arrive in Houston.
Requests should be made as early as possible -- preferably two (2) weeks in advance of arrival date.
Non-online requests must be made directly with staff (281-283-2575).. Requests given through the van drivers will not be accepted.

Because it is difficult to secure university vehicles, requests cannot be guaranteed! However, the IISS office will try its best to arrange for pick-ups if they are given enough notice. IISS will be in communication with you (via email) as to the status of your request.
