The University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Pay Plan is designed to assist the university’s faculty and staff with administration of its human resource policies and procedures related to compensation and employment actions.
UHCL strives to attract, employ and retain a well-qualified work force through fair and consistently applied compensation and employment procedures. The university’s staff compensation policy, approved March 10, 1994, and associated procedures are incorporated within the pay plan.
The Office of Human Resources is responsible for the continued development and review of the university’s staff pay plans in accordance with the staff compensation policy. Changes to these policies are approved through shared governance and communicated to the university through publishing of the pay plan.
The university is committed to reviewing the pay plans and pay tables every two years to ensure that the pay plans are within market range for similarly situated classifications. As funds permit, the university will commit to making adjustments that result from this review.
