The Box Project
If you have ever seen the movie, Pay-it Forward, then understanding the practice behind "read-it" forward will be a breeze. Simply put, in the summer of 2008 participants of the Leaders In Action program were so moved by the content of Leadership and Self Deception: The Art of Getting Out of the Box, that they hoped to get the book in the hands of as many poeple on campus as possible. Hence the birth of "The Box Project".
In it's simplistic format, The Box Project seeks to educate and inform campus community members on the principles from the book, Leadership and Self Deception: The Art of Getting Out of the Box. Currently there are 15 copies of the book floating around the UHCL campus community. When one person finishes, they pass the book on to another, and so on, and so on.
If you are interested in joining The Box Project, you may pick up your own copy of the book at any on line retailer, or bookstore. For your convienience, a digital copy of the book may be accessed on the UH Libraries electronic catalog.
