M.A. in Behavior Analysis
You can now earn a Master of Arts degree in Behavior Analysis through the University of Houston-Clear Lake!
Through this program, you will develop a well-rounded foundation in behavior analysis and psychology through coursework, practicum experiences, and research activities.
Upon completing this program, you will be eligible to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam. The coursework also prepares you to become a Licensed Psychological Associate and to pursue doctoral degrees in psychology or behavior analysis.
Our coursework and practicum have been approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®
We also offer a Certificate-Only Option which is designed for individuals who have already earned a master’s degree in psychology or a related discipline and who would like to complete the coursework and practicum required to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst exam. Certificate-Only students complete five courses and a two-semester practicum.

Undergraduate Behavior Analysis Certificate
Undergraduate students can now earn a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Completion of this certificate is particularly helpful for students majoring in psychology or education, as well as teachers who have already earned a bachelor’s degree and wish to receive supplementary training in ABA.
In order to apply for an undergraduate certificate in ABA, students must pass the following courses with a grade of B- or better:
PSYC 3231 Learning Principles
PSYC 4231 Applied Behavior Analysis I
PSYC 4232 Applied Behavior Analysis II

These courses also serve to partially prepare students to sit for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) examination. More information about becoming certified can be found at www.bacb.com
