Admissions to Behavior Analysis Master's Program or Certificate Option

Review of applications for Fall admission will begin on February 15 and continue until all available slots are filled.  Applications should be submitted prior to this date to ensure consideration. A supplemental review of applications will be conducted in March or April if there are any remaining slots after the first round. After February 15, applicants should contact the program coordinator (lerman@uhcl.edu) before submitting an application. Applications to the ABA Certificate-Only Program may be submitted at anytime.

Step 1:  Apply for admission to the University of Houston-Clear Lake:

1. Complete University Application (apply on-line)
2. Submit GRE scores (not more than 5 years old) through the standard reporting procedures
3. Submit official transcripts from all institutions attended. Transcripts should be mailed to this address:

Step 2: Apply to the Behavior Analysis Program

The following documents must be sent in a single envelope:

1. Program application form from the Program Application Packet
2. Curriculum Vita (an expanded résumé describing previous education; all work experience; relevant course work and relevant volunteer activities; any honors, presentations, papers, avocations or other relevant life experiences).
3. A Brief Essay of purpose and goals, not to exceed 1,000 words, stating reasons for wanting this degree and how it fits into career goals.
4. Two Letters of Recommendation, at least one from an academic source. No form is required. Your references should give the letter to you with his or her signature and the date across the sealed envelope flap.
5. Additional Copies of Transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended (except University of Houston-Clear Lake transcripts which will be generated internally).
