Digital Media Studies Admissions Requirements

Students seeking admission to the Digital Media Studies master’s program must have completed a bachelor of arts or science degree and submitted all required documentation for admission to UHCL, including an application for admission and official transcripts.

Students with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in their last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework are not required to take the Graduate Record Exam. Students whose cumulative GPA falls below 3.0 may still be considered for admission after taking the GRE and scoring within an acceptable range.

Students without adequate undergraduate experience in computer software or graphics may be required to take foundational courses at the undergraduate level before entering the program. A Computer Imaging course or its equivalent is considered the minimal level of preparation required. Once students are admitted to the program, they must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
