Human Performance Laboratory
The Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Houston Clear Lake exists for two primary purposes.
- First, it is a teaching laboratory that allows students to learn testing and measurement methods to describe physiological and biomechanical phenomenon taught in lecture courses.
- Second, it is a platform for faculty and students to further the body of scientific knowledge through applied research methods.
Faculty and students at the University of Houston-Clear Lake are active in the scientific community publishing and original presenting papers at national and international conferences. Students are encouraged to be involved in current research projects and to propose, collect, and publish original data sets. They do this either through graduate theses or independent studies that can be used as academic credit.
