To promote the common professional interests of those who are interested in marital and family therapy, and to fulfill other purposes stated by the University of Houston-Clear Lake Family Therapy Student Association.
Among the many opportunities that are made possible through this membership driven organization:
Regular Monthly Program Meetings. Outstanding speaker series, excellent networking opportunities with fellow students, faculty, professionals, and alumni, and continuing education.
Annual Workshop. Held typically in early spring, brings together a variety of mental health professionals by way of a prominent MFT speaker.
Cuddle Huddle Support Group. A safe space for all UHCL-MFT students exchanging ideas and support from other fellow students. This is a self-governed meeting for the students, by the students, and of the students.
Affiliation with local, state, and national professional organizations. Furthering the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy. Includes relationship with HAMFT, TAMFT, TSAMFT, & AAMFT.
The FTSA Newsletter. An informative periodic publication produced by students highlighting recent events and important MFT related announcements.
