| School Psychology |
| There are over twenty full time psychology faculty teaching in the school, many of whom teach courses and are involved in research with School Psychology students. In addition, licensed psychologists who have special expertise in school psychology and are practicing in the schools are occasionally selected to teach particular courses as adjuncts. Two of the full time faculty are assigned to direct the School Psychology program and its internships. Drs. Cheramie and Stafford are licensed psychologists, licensed specialists in school psychology, and nationally certified school psychologists. |

Gail Cheramie, Ph.D. Associate Professor and Director of the School Psychology program. | |
| Dr. Cheramie is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. Her areas of specialization are assessment for learning, development, and emotional-behavioral disorders, and consultation. Dr. Cheramie is a past President of the Texas Association of School Psychologists. She is an active consultant with local school districts. |

Mary Stafford, Ph.D. Associate Professor and Coordinator of School Psychology Internships. | |
| Dr. Stafford is a graduate of the University of Texas – Austin. Her specialty areas are child counseling, crisis intervention, and biological bases of behavior. Dr. Stafford is chair of the International School Psychology Association Ethics Committee and Editor of the ISPA newsletter. She is liaison to the University of Houston Doctoral Program in School Psychology. |
