Chat Terms and Conditions of Use

You are invited to chat with Intercultural & International Student Services (IISS) to learn more about UHCL and the surrounding community. We are committed to fostering a learning environment that allows for freedoms of speech and expression in accordance with the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Please be aware, however, that we will not tolerate any unlawful, defamatory or obscene activity that is unprotected by the First Amendment. During chat sessions, students will also be held responsible to follow the UHCL student code of conduct and policies. UHCL and IISS reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to end any chat session that we deem inappropriate.

8:00 pm - 11:00 pm PST (Pakistan Standard Time)

8:30 pm - 11:30 pm IST (Indian Standard Time)

9:00 am - 12:00 noon Houston (Central Time Zone)

10:00 pm - 1:00 am Vietnam Time

Privacy:

Your privacy is very important to us, and we abide by FERPA guidelines. The information we collect from you will be used for our records and data purposes only. We will not willfully disclose your personally identifiable information to any third party without first receiving your permission.

Guidelines:

1. Everyone here is part of a community, and the success of our online community depends on everyone's adherence to a few simple guidelines. When chatting with IISS, please do not use the following
   1. Profanity;
   2. Non-constructive derogatory comments;
   3. Sexually explicit language;
   4. Comments regarding fraud, academic dishonesty, or other unethical behavior;
   5. Anything that is illegal, harassing, harmful to reputation, hateful, racist, or otherwise objectionable;
   6. Fake student ID’s and names

When chatting, you are accepting to follow the guidelines.
