Do you have what it takes to be an IO Leader?
Mandatory Responsibilities:
- Be available for International Orientation leader training day.
- Attend New International Student Orientation all day.
Top five reasons to be an IO Leader:
- Opportunity to share your experiences with new international students.
- Establish relationships with faculty and staff members.
- Have a positive impact on new international students.
- Develop leadership and communication skills.
- Great chance to make new friends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with morning check-in for new international students.
- Accompany students to academic advising sessions.
- Assist IISS staff with informational presentations during the day.
- Direct students to lunch location.
- Interact with new student during lunch and throughout the day.
- Provide IISS with honest feedback about the orientation.
- Give new students a campus tour.

Important Dates to Remember:
• IO Leader Training: Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in the Student Organizations Room (next door to IISS Office)
•New International Student Orientation: Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Bayou Building
•Deadline to apply: Monday, August 5, 2013 at 6pm
