Extended Borrowing and Circulation Privileges
The loan period for most library materials is 120 days for regular faculty and end-of-semester for adjunct faculty. All materials are subject to recall after 3 weeks (rare).
 
If your department wishes to verify continuing employment or provide borrowing privileges prior to employment, complete the
Request for Extension of Library Privileges form

Regular full-time faculty also are eligible for a HARLiC (Houston Area Research Libraries Consortium) borrowing card, a courtesy extended by the M. D. Anderson Library, University of Houston. The HARLiC card may be used at participating libraries, including the Fondren Library, Rice University. Apply for a HARLiC card at the Neumann Library Reference Desk.

Faculty who wish to purchase a Vendacard by interdepartmental transfer of funds may do so by presenting a completed IDT form at the Circulation Desk. Vendacards are available with $20 or $50 values. The Vendacard can be used at library photocopiers and printers.
