If you are registered with the UHCL Disabilities Services office, 281-283-2627, you can have access to a range of adaptive technology housed in Room 32 in the Neumann Library. You'll find a workstation that can be electronically raised and lowered to your preference, and a computer equipped with Dragon Naturally Speaking, Jaws, and Magic. Using your student lab account, you can access the Internet and all programs available in the Instructional Technology computer labs as well as all databases available through the library. There is also a CCTV for text enlargement. If you are eligible to use these services, the Disabilities Services office will notify the library. Once we receive the notification, you may check out a key to the room at the Circulation Desk.
Individual assistance in using library services and equipment is available. Please make arrangements by contacting Martha Steele, Associate Director for Public Services (2810-283-3912 or steelem@uhcl.edu.)
