Need an on-campus job?  As a follow-up to International Orientation, this informative workshop will ease your anxiety about the on-campus job search.  Helpful search tips, proper etiquette and much more will be addressed during this insightful discussion! 

 

Orientation Workshop #2:

Co-op Regulations

 

 

Cooperative Education (Co-op) blends classroom theory with practical work experience. The workshop will discuss the requirements for Co-op for domestic as well as International students. The presenters will also speak about the benefits of participating in the program.

 

Orientation Workshop #3:

Safety Tips for Women

 

Moving to a new country can be overwhelming and scary – speaking a new language, learning new customs and getting accustomed to new classes.  While you are making all of these adjustments, we want to be sure you know how to stay safe and healthy in this new environment.  At this workshop, you’ll learn ways to stay healthy from Health and Disability Services and how to stay safe with tips from UHCL Police.

 

Orientation Workshop #4:

Academic Honesty

 

 

This enlightening workshop will inform students of the importance of achieving success at UHCL without breaking classroom rules.   Topics such as cheating and plagiarism will be discussed. Additionally, the Dean of Students and a Faculty member will discuss strategies that can be used to improve academic performance and increase the student-faculty interaction.
