Case for Support
As state support for higher education continues to decline, broad-based community support and involvement to sustain and enhance educational resources becomes even more important. Only with outside support can the university aspire to its vision or achieve its goals of excellence. UHCL seeks contributions that enhance the pursuit of academic excellence, community outreach and student development. Philanthropic support for the university's people, programs and facilities includes, but is not limited to:
- Student scholarships
- Faculty professorships, chairs and fellowships
- Staff awards
- Program sponsorships
- Capital projects
Current funding priorities include program, scholarship and capital support for the university's art and healthcare administration programs. Naming opportunities exist for a variety of campus facilities including the UHCL art gallery, art studios, gathering areas and more.
