The Mailroom is available to serve the needs of the University of Houston-Clear Lake faculty and staff.

The Mailroom processes all official mail for the University of Houston-Clear Lake. This includes sorting all incoming and interoffice mail into individual boxes, and pick up and delivery to the U.S. Post Office.

A bulk mail permit is also available for university use. Bulk mail is an inexpensive way to send large quantities of mail. Call the Mailroom for directions preparing bulk mail.

Business reply mail for university departments is available from the Mailroom. For information regarding how to send mail using this permit can be received by contacting the Mailroom.

A postal expenditure slip should be attached with all outgoing mail.  These forms permit the mailroom to charge UHCL cost centers directly for postage.  All mail is sent first class unless the postal expenditure slip indicates the item should be sent another way, example: bulk mail or overnight express mail. These forms are available from Central Stores.

The mailroom is only for university mail. A full service post office is located in UHCL Bookstore on the first floor of the Bayou Building.  Postage stamps (not sold individually), package weighing and other services are available for your personal postal needs.

SCHEDULE

University mail is delivered to the U.S. Post Office at approximately 8:15 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. during business days.

Incoming mail is placed in university boxes by noon.

Mail is delivered to the Arbor Building and Central Services Building Monday through Thursday.

Bulk mail must be in the University Mailroom by noon Wednesday to be delivered to the post office on the following Friday.
