Services Offered by the Office of Sponsored Programs:

• Identify sources of funding
• Assist with developing proposals
• Develop budgets
• Review proposals for compliance with federal, state, and UHCL policies
• Submit proposals to agencies
• Liaison with program officers
• Manage awards after they are granted to the university
• Manage intellectual property
• Negotiate contracts/subcontracts
• Produce financial reports for various agencies
• Provide administrative support for the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, and the Faculty Research and Support Funds Committee
• Insure that all UHCL policies governing the use of federal funds for research are current.
