Visitor's Parking Lot (Lot R)
(Visitor Parking at the Bayou and Student Services Bldg.)

USERS:

• Any Visitor to the Bayou Building, Student Services Building.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• Monday 7:00am through Friday 12:00 Noon
• Free Parking
  • Friday 12:00 Noon – Monday 7:00am
  • All Official Holidays

COST:

• $5.00 each time you exit (Tokens may be purchased for $5.00 from the Police Department or obtained from the department that invited you.)

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

• Vending machine will accept:
• Coins (quarters only),
• Bills ($5 and $1 only)

LOT G
(Visitor Parking at Arbor and Delta Bldg. [3 hour maximum])

USERS:

All Visitors for Arbor and Delta Buildings. (Temporary Parking Permit holders with Continuing Education, Psychological Services and Children’s Art should park in the metered parking spaces without cost as long as the temporary parking permit is displayed properly on the vehicle dashboard, face-up.)

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• Monday through Thursday: 7:00am – 11:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Free Parking:
  • Monday through Thursday 11:00pm – 7:00am
  • Friday 3:00pm through Monday 7:00am
  • All Official Holidays

COST:

• $1.00 per hour
• 3-hour maximum

  • Coins (golden dollars, quarters, dimes, and nickels), or

(Visitor Parking at the Delta Bldg.)

USERS:

• All Visitors for Delta Building.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• Monday through Thursday: 7:00am – 11:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Free Parking
  • Monday through Thursday 11:00pm – 7:00am
  • All Official Holidays

COST:

• $1.00 per hour
• 3-hour maximum

BAYOU CIRCLE & HOUSTON AVE
(Short Term Parking [up to 3 hours] for the Bayou and Student Services Bldgs.)

USERS:

• Any vehicle.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• 7 Days a Week - 24 Hours a Day
• Free Parking
  • All Official Holidays

COSTS:

• $1.00 per hour
• 3-hour maximum

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

• The parking meters will accept:
  • Coins (golden dollars, quarters, dimes, and nickels), or
  • Smart Card (inquire at the Police Department, B1636)

SMART CARDS

USERS:

• Any office within the University
• Any individual
• Any group

LOCATIONS:

• All Parking Meters (throughout campus)
• SmartCards do not work in Visitors Parking lot.

COST:

• Initial Purchase of Smart Cart - $3.00 plus the requested amount to be placed on card.
• Returning Smart Card – the requested amount to be reloaded on card.

PROCEDURE TO PURCHASE SMART CARD:

• University Offices:
  • Initial Purchase and Re-loading:
  • Complete the Interdepartmental Transfer of Funds – University Police and mail to our office, Box 323, or drop it off at our dispatch window, Bayou Building Room 1636.  Orders will be completed within 48 hours after receipt of request.  For re-loading a card, the card must accompany the order form.  Only the cardholder identified on the form will be able to pickup the card when completed.

  • Initial Purchase and Re-loading:
  • In order to be able to identify the purchaser of the smart cards, individuals/groups will need to complete a form at the Police Department at our dispatch window, Bayou Building Room 1636. Orders received in our office by 3:00pm will be filled and ready for pick up (by the person cardholder identified on the form) by 5:00pm the next business day.
