Clear Creek Hyde Elementary School second-grader Julia Hoff was a guest speaker at the University of Houston-Clear Lake School of Education’s class taught by UH-Clear Lake lecturer of Early Childhood Education Terry Chvala (l). Hoff presented her story about a time when she caught a fish with her grandfather to students in the Developing Competence in Young Children class, in which students learn techniques to support early language and literacy development. Hoff and her presentation helped bring the lesson to life.
