UH-Clear Lake photography, home page win awards
University of Houston-Clear Lake received recognition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District IV for entries submitted to the 2009 CASE IV Communications Competition.
UH-Clear Lake’s home page received a Silver Award of Excellence in the World Wide Web Page category, and photography taken by freelancer Beryl Striewski and featured in the university’s magazine, Egret, received a Bronze Achievement Award in the Color Series category.
Coordinator of Web Communications Haley Stringer-Hedderick, designer of the homepage, and Senior Coordinator of Publications Summer Russo, managing editor of the university magazine, accepted the awards on behalf of the university at the CASE District IV annual conference in Oklahoma on April 6.
CASE is an international association of advancement professionals in alumni relations, communications, fundraising, marketing and other areas. District IV includes colleges and universities from the five-state region of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas in addition to Mexico.
