UH-Clear Lake welcomes new advancement staff
University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Office of University Advancement welcomed two new members to their staff. Joanne Timm joined the office as coordinator of donor stewardship and Elbby Antony joined the staff as assistant director of development, president’s cabinet.
Timm came to UH-Clear Lake from Lone Star College System (formally North Harris Montgomery Community College District) where she worked since 2002. As coordinator of the system’s Foundation, she helped create and facilitate special events and donor recognition plans as well as provided support for the foundation board. Timm also worked closely with the system’s five campuses and college presidents to help meet the needs of donors.
“Joanne’s thoroughness and attention to detail are apparent within the first 10 minutes of speaking with her,” says UH-Clear Lake Associate Vice President for University Advancement Dion McInnis. “I’m certain that her talents will strengthen the team.”
Before joining the university, Antony worked as annual fund manager for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston where she coordinated all annual fund drive efforts. In addition, she monitored and reported on income and expenses and participated at stewardship events to acknowledge donor giving. Antony is originally from New York and brings close to 10 years of development experience to the job.
“Elbby is a welcome addition to University Advancement,” says McInnis. “Her experience in the development arena will definitely assist us in building relationships with university friends.”
In Timm’s new role, she will coordinate donor recognition events as well as manage stewardship projects. Antony will cultivate and engage university donors through visits, phone calls, letters and events.
